We were the first guests at The Crescent and it was awesome! What a great experience! Walking through the door I knew this was going to be an exciting vacation. Wendy was so sweet and hospitable. We arrived in town late and she was still up to greet and show us around her beautiful home. There was 4 of us and we all were comfortable. The kitchen was sooooo beautiful, and beds were better than the ones I have at home. There was a sitting area in the back to relax, cook, or take a relaxing smoke break. We didn’t need or want for a thing while there because she had everything (except groceries). I really don’t have enough space to articulate exactly how beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, and upscale this home is. Wendy put a lot of work and love into this beautiful home and it showed.

We loved our experience at BAYOU VIEW @ OGH so much we stayed an extra day. If you are using airbnb to get an authentic taste of what New Orleans is all about you cant go wrong here. We stayed in the upstairs unit for 8 days. It was perfect for me and my 2 kids and would have worked just as well with my husband along too. Wendy is a great host and put more care and effort into her rental than the other two places we have rented via (website hidden) when we wanted a local experience. It looks exactly as you see on airbnb. Lots of light and windows. You are practically staying in an art gallery beyond blue dog and be nice or leave variety, not that I don’t enjoy those. I stayed here because I love mid city. Now I love bayou St. John too. Want to walk to get coffee in the morning? This is your place. Want to walk (email hidden) and enjoy local flavor there or overlooking the bayou on your upstairs deck? This is your place. We were there over the 4th of July and watched the fireworks from our balcony. This place is absolutely fabulous! I consider myself a regular out of towner, not a tourist and if you want to do NOLA right with less of a Bourbon Street experience this is a great place to make it happen.

Location! Location! Location! Bayou View was the best place to stay for Jazz Fest and to explore the rest of New Orleans. It was literally a 10 minute walk to the Fest and maybe a 5 minute cab ride to the French Quarter. Bayou View was the perfect suite- better than the pictures. The art here is gorgeous! We loved the private balcony, especially for morning coffee and drinks at night while overlooking Bayou Saint John. The bathroom was amazing with jets and the candelabra!!! Wendy was such a gracious host and great resource- true southern hospitality. From booking to departure, she was there to make our stay the most memorable Jazz Fest yet!

Thanks, Wendy, for opening Orleans Guest House and we can’t wait to come back again!

Orleans Guest House is so beautiful and in the perfect location too!  The décor in the house is classy and spacious, with a relaxing and cool patio (fans smartly in all corners to keep the heat at bay).  The kitchen is amazing and has all the modern touches and the bathroom is especially spacious. It is so nice to be able to walk to the Jazz Festival this year!  Wendy has been an amazing host who knows all the ins and outs of local options, we are loving our stay at The Crescent.  We will definitely book this place again. Thanks Wendy!
